BEWI acquires minority stake of the recycling company Inoplast
BEWI, a leading provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions, announces that the company has acquired a 34 per cent interest of the Czech recycling company Inoplast s.r.o. (“Inoplast”). Inoplast specialises in recycling of plastics, mainly expanded polystyrene (EPS), but also other types of plastics.
“We are pleased to include Inoplast in our portfolio of recycling operations. With Inoplast, we are adding another 5,000 to 6,000 tonnes to our recycling capacity, bringing us another step closer to our annual target of 60,000 tonnes,” says Henrik Ekvall, managing director of BEWI Circular.
Inoplast’s facility is located approximately 35 km from Prague in the city of Slaný. The company has modern and versatile machinery, allowing for recycling of various plastic waste. In addition to recycling EPS, the company recycles polypropylene (PP), HDPE (high density polyethylene) film, PET, and various other plastics from production waste.
BEWI also has an option to acquire the remaining 66 per cent of the Inoplast shares
