New production line for Thermodren insulating drainage boards

strengthening the offering of energy efficient solutions for the building sector

BEWI opens a new production line at the facility in Genevad, Sweden

The new production line significantly strengthens the company’s capacity for Thermodren insulating drainage boards. The line is aligned with BEWI’s announced ambition to position itself for strong growth from the building and construction industry in the years ahead, following the increased need for solutions improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

Unique product design for improved energy efficiency

“We are pleased to now also have the capacity to produce our popular Thermodren products here in Genevad, in addition to the existing production line in Fredrikstad in Norway. By being closer to key markets, we can further secure delivery to our customers, while at the same time reduce transport and CO2 emissions“, says Niklas Priebe, managing director of BEWI’s operations within insulation and construction in Sweden.

Thermodren is a unique, patented drainage board of EPS (expanded polystyrene) for basement walls. Its insulating properties and design effectively divert water and humidity away from the wall, contributing to a moisture-free, healthy indoor climate and lower energy costs.
